Dr. Phillip E. Pontious, DMD

Dr. Pontious grew up in Utah, Nevada, and California, and graduated from high school in Long Beach, CA.  He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine, DMD, in 2006 from Southern Illinois University, School of Dental Medicine.  Dr. Pontious married Denise (Smith) who was born in Florence, Colorado, and they are the proud parents of 7 children.  In his free time, Dr. Pontious loves to fish, enjoys hiking in the Colorado Mountains, and surfing in California.  Spending time outdoors is how he finds relaxation and he enjoys spending time with his family.
His professional goal is to be the best dentist for you and your family.

Anne, Dental Hygienist

Anne graduated Dental Hygiene school in 1992 from the Community College of Baltimore and shortly thereafter, moved
to Denver.  In 2015, she and her husband relocated to Fremont County.  She has always loved the outdoors, but since moving here she is even more excited to be outside exploring.  All of her kids have 4 legs and lots of fur. . .so they also love their new location in the mountains.   Anne’s husband of 23 years continues to serve as a Police Officer for the City of Northglenn.

Amanda, Administrative Assistant

Amanda has lived in Fremont County with her husband, Rocco, for over 12 years. She has an energetic son and a daughter.  After she graduated high school in 2001, Amanda went to college for 2 years, graduating from PIMA Medical Institute in 2003 with her certificate in Dental Assisting and Radiology.  In 2006, an opportunity opened for her at Dr. Pontious’ office, where she has continued to learn and grow with Dr. Pontious ever since.  In her spare time, she loves to cook, sew, and anything to do with crafts.  Amanda’s absolute favorite thing is spending time with her family.  They enjoy weekend fishing trips where all their best memories are made.

Erma, Dental Assistant

Erma was born and raised in Crowley County (located 30 miles from Rocky Ford) on a 300-acre farm.  She enjoyed her childhood on the farm raising cattle, farming and enjoying her seven siblings.  Erma attended Pueblo Community College and Otero Community College where she received her Associate’s Degree in Behavioral Science.   She has been married to her husband for over 26 years and they have a beautiful son and daughter.  In her spare time, Erma enjoys gardening, traveling and planning parties.   After retiring from dental assisting, she hopes to one day manage or own her own hotel.

Denise, Dental Assistant

Denise has recently moved to Fremont County from Colorado Springs where she lived for 24 years. Denise graduated from Heritage College for health careers in Denver,  Colorado, and practiced dental assisting for 22 years in Colorado Springs.  Denise has two children and two grandchildren and loves to spend her free time babysitting her grandchildren.
